Description

Abrasion resistance
High hardness and low friction coefficient contribute to racks from Hostaform C a more favorable abrasion resistance than from other plastics - and even from some metals-made racks.
Fatigue strength under alternating flexural and tensile strength
As limit bending stress of Hostaform C were made on the standard small rod of 4 mm 11.70 kN/cm² is determined. The tensile strength is 7 kN/cm².
Influence of moisture
In contrast to other thermoplastics are the good characteristics by air, moisture or lubricating oils not affected. Gear wheels made of Hostaform C also work under water properly.
Use temperature in air
The temperature range, in the racks from Hostaform C can be used, is under consideration of level and duration of bean-chung -40°C to +40°C.
