Description
With the diesel locomotive V 90 the Deutsche Bundesbahn became operational from the middle of the 1960s as a new generation of powerful shunting locomotives. Based on the constructive fundamentals of the tested V 100, the V 90 was developed especially for the heavy shunting and easy stretch service. The extended frame, the significantly higher service weight as well as the stronger engine made the V 90 a robust workhorse in the daily enterprise.
