Electric locomotive 103 233 of the German Railways

In the middle of the 1960s, the E 03 series was developed as the most powerful locomotive in the past for heavy passenger trains. 1970–1974 145 series locomotives were put into service. The last 30 locomotives (from 103 216 onwards) were given an enlarged driver's cab and were thus 700 mm longer.
At the end of the official period of operation, a machine was created on the suggestion of many fans of this series in the new traffic-red dress with color-contrasting frames. Just like the classic 103s in red/beige. The company Roco acted as sponsor of this paint. As a special feature, the machine received a text of dedication under the right-hand side driver's cab window at the presentation.
