With the merger of the Dutch goods traffic with the German Railion Group, DB AG has gained access to part of the electric locomotives of the series 1600 of the N.s. In 2012, ten machines were painted in red during the course of maintenance. On the initiative of some engine drivers, the last three locomotives were stuck with farewell text at the end of the work at DB coachgo NL in 2020.
