Roco 79396 H0 RO STEAM LOC. 38 3713 (AC)

Steam locomotive 38 3713 of the German State Railroad Company.

To meet the increased demands of passenger train and express train traffic, the Prussian State Railways developed the passenger train locomotive of the P8 category. Of this widely used triple coupled machine, more than 3,700 copies were built by German factories alone by 1923. The steam locomotive, later referred to as the 38 10–40 series, produced 880 kW, weighed about 130 tons with tender with full supplies and was allowed to drive forward 100 km/h and reverse 50 km/h.
The repainting of the large locomotive stock of DRG on the new standard black/red color drew naturally. Accordingly, many machines were presented up to about 1930 in the olive green/reddish brown/black coloring valid until 1926, but were already signposted.
