The 3M™ Scotchlok™ connector is suitable for connecting single or multi-wire conductors in installation wiring technology. With a cross-section range from 0.5 to 1.5 square millimeters, it enables a passage connection even on uncut conductors. Black Scotchlok™ connector has a maximum voltage of 30 volts and a temperature limit of 105°C. It can be used in control, measurement and control range as well as in car electronics and switchgear construction. Its functionality is based on the principle of a U-element: The conductors to be connected are inserted into the connector without having to be stripped beforehand. By lightly pressing the Scotchlok™ pliers, the U-elements remove the wire insulation, enlarge the contact surface and place the contact with the conductor HER. Spring-loaded U-element surrounds the individual wires and provides mechanically stable, vibration-proof, electrically and reliably continuous connection. The connector has been tested in the high-voltage test field of 3M Deutschland GmbH according to VDE 0606, 0607, 0303, 0470 and IEC23F and has met all the conditions. The Scotchlok™ connectors are all UL and C.S.A. listed.
