Description

Series 42
In 1943 the heavy war locomotive of the series 42 was developed with 17 t axle pressure. It was intended for use in Austria, but also in occupied areas where it was permitted to build upper buildings. The plan to build 8000 locomotives (later reduced to 5000 locomotives) was stopped by the end of the war and eventually some more than 860 units were manufactured. The locomotives were used in the DB to 1960 and in the DR to about 1970. The current Liliput models have been technically revised compared to previous editions.
