Roco 7110041 H0 steam locomotive 1108 (DCC) Steam locomotive (series S 10.1) from the Royal Prussian Railway Administrat

Even during the production start-up of the S 10, the construction of a composite locomotive was commissioned by Henschel. They promised less coal consumption. The locomotive referred to as S 10.1 was not based on the S 10, but was a new construction. The four-cylinder composite engine was of the model De Glehen, i.e. the far-displaced outer cylinders acted on the second coupling axle and the inner cylinders on the first. The locomotives were larger and more powerful than the S 10 and also more economical thanks to the composite engine. Between 1911 and 1914, 135 copies for Prussia and 17 for Alsace-Lorraine were produced in two different series.
