Description
Electric locomotive Re 420 505 of BLS Mountain rail.
In December 2004, SBB sold Re 4/4 11110, 11117, 11119, 11123, 11137 locomotives. 11142 to the BLS, which numbered the locomotives on Re 420 501–506 around. One year later, locomotive 11107 and prototype Re 4/4 11102–11106 were taken over by the SBB and rewritten to numbers 420 507–512. Since the locomotives were urgently needed, they drove the first years still in the basic colors of the SBB The coats of arms and chrome labels were all removed and replaced with simple silver stickers. The Re 420 was gradually painted in the house colors of the BLS and, after taking over the RM (regional Mittellandbahn), also received the Omega logo. Re 420 505, formerly Re 4/4 11137, had been painted in the green paint until 2009, before it was also shown in the new BLS house colors.
