Description
Tramcar FZE 6/6 Epoch VI Luggage wagon FZE 6/6 of MOB in Metal construction. In the 1930s, suitable locomotives were sought for the MOB's steep routes for the "Golden Mountain Pullman Express", which was to be used by CIWL. It was decided here to purchase 2 electric tow trucks with a luggage compartment. They had a power of more than 1100 hp and were manufactured by SIG/BBC. In 1932/1933, the two vehicles were classified into the stock of the MOB under the model series designation FZE 6/6 with the operating numbers 2001 and 2002. These six-axle Bo'Bo'Bo' traction units have a length over buffer of 17 meters and were traveling at a maximum speed of 60 km/h. At that time, they were one of the strongest electric locomotives circulating on meter gauge in the world! In fact, the two electric cars were supposed to pull the luxury trains, but were not used for them except for a few journeys, because the luxury trains were no longer in demand as a result of the global economic crisis around 1930. For example, the MOB used the two rail cars in freight traffic. Over the years, the two vehicles have undergone several removals and conversions. Especially in the construction of the Hongrin dam at the end of the 1960s, the two towed trucks were a great help in bringing the required cement from Montreux to Allières. At the end of the 1970s, the locomotive was given a new revision in 2002 because it had a fire damage. In the mid-1990s, the machine was shut down due to low wheel tires. In 2008, the car was added to the BC (Blonay-Chamby Museumbahn) in 2002 and reactivated using parts of the machine 2001. Now the articulated lorry 2002 is driving on the Blonay – Chamby museum track. The model of this articulated rail car, is now made into a metal scale of 1:22.5 as a high-end model. As one is already used to from our other high-end models, the FZE 6/6 has a very high degree of detailing. The coloring and printing of the FZE 6/6 2002 of the MOB (actually today Museumsbahn Blonay – Chamby…) are converted into the current operating condition. The current collectors and roof structures are just as true to the epoch that today's museum state is reproduced. A mfx/DCC sound decoder with various light and sound functions, such as the Swiss light change, a driver's cabin and interior lighting, digitally adjustable and higher current collectors and much more, provide for high game value during operation of the 76 cm long model, which can also drive the R1 radius without any problem.
