Description

From the electric locomotive of the series E 44 (from 1968 with the DB series 144) almost 200 locomotives were put in service from 1932 to 1954. The power of the four-axle bogie locomotives amounted to around 2,200 kW, with the highest speed being 90 km/h. The locomotives proved themselves in front of passenger trains as well as in front freight trains. Some locomotives were equipped with a shuttle train control and were thus used in suburban traffic in metropolitan areas. The E 44 - from which the series E 44.5, E 93 and E 94 were further developed - can rightly be described as one of the most reliable and most successful electric locomotives, as it helped the bogie design and the real-time bearing drive to a breakthrough.

Selected models from the earlier Freilassing depot are modeled under the label "Edition Freising". In the year 1905 the first locomotives, at the time also steam locomotives, were purchased with its 20 tracks in the locomotive shed. About 20 years later, the E-Lok Werkstatt was built, and further buildings followed in the years. Roco also has a close relationship with the Bavarian city of Freilassing, where it was the first German sales office. Look forward to the models in this unique edition!
