Description

The thermistor relay is used as a protection relay for motors against thermal overload (inadmissible heat-up). This warming may occur due to mechanical overload on the shaft or when operating the motor with unacceptable voltages. A PTC (PTC) is used as a sensor, which is placed as far as possible at the part of the motor which heats up most when overloaded (e.g. integrated in the motor winding).
