Description
Anybus Communicator ensures reliable, secure and fast data transfer between various industrial Ethernet and fieldbus networks. These stand-alone gateways are easy to operate and allow transparent data exchange between SPSs, so that you can integrate even older field devices into modern industrial networks with minimal changes to the software.
The Anybus Communicator is based on the proven Anybus NP40 network processor, which is network compliant, high performance and reliability. When exchanging data between PLCs from different networks, it is possible to transfer very fast data with up to 1500 bytes in each direction, WAS meets most of the requirements of current and future control applications.
Startup is fast thanks to the intuitive configuration, the easy-to-understand documentation and the intelligent hardware and housing design.
Outstanding performance
Immediate data transmission - The time required for data transmission between two PLCs is the cycle time of the first network plus the cycle time of the second network. The internal data transfer in Communicator is negligible as it corresponds to the natural fluctuations in the network cycle times (jitter).
Hardware-accelerated Endian conversion (byte swap)
Communicator can change the data appearance (endianness) by hardware-accelerated endian conversion to ensure that the data is displayed correctly in each PLC. You can even convert different parts of the data area in different ways to process different data types. This has no impact on performance, relieves the PLC from the data conversion task, and simplifies PLC programming.
