Description
The FLIRT 3 (Rapid Light Innovative Regional Train Set) is a modern commuter train of the Swiss manufacturer Stadler Rail, which has been specially designed for use in regional and suburban railway traffic. Since its launch in 2012, the FLIRT 3 has been one of the best-selling electric train families in Europe and is convincing with its modularity, energy efficiency and high passenger friendliness.
The FLIRT 3 is designed as a low-floor electro-train set and consists of several wagon units coupled with Jakobs-bogie. Depending on customer requirements, the vehicle length, number of seats and power can be flexibly configured – typical versions of three to six cars. The vehicles reach a maximum speed of up to 160 km/h and are designed for high acceleration values in compressed cycle operation.
EDITION RELEASE
Selected models from the earlier Freilassing depot are modeled under the label "Edition Freising". In the year 1905 the first locomotives, at the time also steam locomotives, were purchased with its 20 tracks in the locomotive shed. About 20 years later, the E-Lok Werkstatt was built, and further buildings followed in the years. Roco also has a close relationship with the Bavarian city of Freilassing, where it was the first German sales office. Look forward to the models in this unique edition!
