Description

The optical smoke detector reacts to visible smoke particles. If too much smoke enters its measuring chamber, the alarm is triggered. Within the measuring chamber an integrated infrared light source generates a light pulse every 8 seconds. The light only falls on the photodiode due to smoke particles entering the measuring chamber during a fire. A relay switches and the alarm control center signals a fire alarm. The smoke detector is mounted at the ceiling in the centre of a room. The minimum distance to the side wall is 30cm. We recommend installing each one smoke detector in the hall, the stairways, living room and bedroom. By adjusting a jumper you can configure the optical smoke detector as NO or as NC detector. As such, it fits with every wired alarm system. The smoke detector is powered externally with 12V operating voltage and is EN54 certified.
