The Solarline generator connection boxes (GAKs) are used in small roof-mounted systems as well as in large open-field systems. The main tasks of the GAKs are the overvoltage protection of the PV system, if necessary the collection of strings and the looping through of the protective equipotential bonding conductor to the local equipotential bonding.
Further functions are optional and dependent on the equipment.

Examples of optional functions are the protection of the strings by means of string fuses as well as the activation of the strings via DC switch disconnectors or DC fire switch.
