Description

DEFENDER® 2DM module system, wheelchair accessibleThe DEFENDER® 2D M Blue modular cable bridge was developed for optimum ride over with the wheelchair based on our popular DEFENDER® MIDI cable bridge. It consists of a center section compatible with the MIDI and a flat ramp, which can be extended and combined as required, both in length and width. For extremely simple handling.Ramp blueIn recent years, the topic of accessibility has become increasingly the focus of organizers and authorities. With conventional cable bridge systems, a compromise between wheelchair access and driveability often had to be made. This is different with the new DEFENDER® 2D M: A completely retractable ramp with a 6° gradient is added to each center section. The load capacity of the ramp corresponds to the middle section and is approximately 5 tons per 25 x 30 cm area The flat slope makes it much easier for wheelchair users to access it, as it prevents them from placing the footrests on the ramp. This also makes overrunning the cable bridges with forklifts and trucks easier. The completely symmetrical installation of the ramps makes installation easier and you never have to search for the appropriate mounting part again. The parts can be used in a multi-directional way, there are no right or left elements. No detailed installation plans are required either. Thanks to this symmetry, optimum stability in longitudinal and transverse direction can be achieved by laying middle sections and ramps in the semi-composite and at the same time lost parts such as adapters and bones are not required. The connections have been designed to provide enough clearance for easy assembly and still provide sufficient stability. The longitudinal connection of the ramps, for example, only consists of a small protrusion, which engages from the top with pressure. This means that the elements do not have to be lifted up again after the cross-connectors have entered. The ramps are equipped with an ergonomic carry handle to make handling easier in addition.
